Five Pavilion Bridge
A visit to Shouxihu Gongyuan (Slender West Lake Park) in Yangzhou on a rainy day was all I can get to take a photo of the Five Pavilion Bridge (Wuting Qiao) without too many people on it. On a sunny day, throngs of tourists are everywhere this area and so photos usually end up with somebody else's body parts sticking into the frame. The Five Pavilion Bridge is believed to have been built in 1757. It was painted yellow in honor of Emperor Qianlong who used to fish in the lake.
