The Leaning Pagoda of Chongzuo

The leaning pagoda in Chongzuo is believed to have been built 400 years ago with black bricks and mud. Several times, it has undergone renovation and the bricks were replaced with modern day cement. I am not clear about the real function of this structure although the tiny rooms in each storey showed signs of offerings of joss sticks and cigarettes. The staircase and rooms are too narrow to navigate, only one person can get through them at a time.
